“PLM 07 Conference”: an International success The 4th edition of the “International Conference on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM07)”, held in Strezzano, Italy from 11th – 13th July 2007, has just terminated. The event, sponsored by Parallaksis, gathered numerous experts from all over the world. During the three-day work session, which was promoted and organized by the Polytechnic University of Milan together with the University of Bergamo, there were: 85 scientific papers;- 5 industrial and academic keynotes; 20 project posters by PhD students; 180 managers, entrepreneurs, researchers, university professors and scientists; 29 countries present from 4 different continents; 10 of the most important companies on the PLM market were present: Parallaksis, Dassault Systèmes, Oracle, Siemens, Autodesk, Intergraph, PLM Systems, Selerant, SpazioSystem; The following companies were present at the conference: ABB, Boeing, Brembo, Daewoo, ENI, Hyundai, LG Electronics, Nokia, Samsung, Toyota; Among the various universities and research centers that participated in the conference there were: Aalborg University, Cranfield University, Fraunnhofer Institute, ITIA-CNR, Polytechnic University of Turin, Royal Institute of Technology, University of New South Wales, University of Oldenburg, University of Bremen, University of Lion, Indian Institute of Science and Technology, U.S. National Institute of Standard and Technology, University of Michigan and many others.During the three-day meeting, Parallaksis presented the Collaboration Desktop suite to the numerous participants, many of which expressed their will to learn more about the highly technological product. Universities from Korea, Mexico and Switzerland, as well as many participants belonging to the university and industrial fields expressed great interest in the Collaboration Desktop PLM suite and in the opportunity to understand better the highly new technological product. During the Industrial Panel forum, Parallaksis presented an example of a Collaboration Desktop project: “An example of collaboration for engineering supply-chain” which was presented by Engineer Dario Marzoni.The 5th. edition of the conference will held in Seoul, South Korea on July 9-10-11 2008.
